About our services
What does Visions of Hope Travels Africa do?
We provide international recruitment support, workforce sourcing, study abroad consultancy and travel assistance. We connect African jobseekers and students with legitimate opportunities, and help overseas employers, agencies and institutions find suitable candidates and students.
Can you guarantee me a job, admission or visa?
No. Job offers are made by employers, admissions by institutions, and work permits and visas by government authorities. We support and guide the process, but no one can honestly guarantee these outcomes. Be cautious of anyone who claims they can.
Which countries do you work with?
We support opportunities in a range of countries, depending on the employers and institutions we work with at any time. Current verified vacancies are listed on our Jobs page, and our advisers can discuss study destinations with you.
For employers and recruiters
How does the recruitment process work?
You share your requirements, we confirm the details and scope with you, then we source and screen candidates, present a shortlist, coordinate interviews and support communication while you make offers and handle employment documentation.
Who is responsible for work permits and contracts?
The employer is responsible for employment contracts, any work permit or visa sponsorship, and compliance with the laws of the destination country. We coordinate document collection and communication with candidates.
How long does sourcing take?
It depends on the role, the number of workers and the qualifications required. We will give you an estimated timeline once we have reviewed your request.
Do you share candidates’ documents with employers?
Only for a specific role, with the candidate’s knowledge, and only what is needed for that recruitment. Employers do not have automatic access to our candidates’ personal documents.
For students
How do I start a study abroad application?
Send a study enquiry from our Study Abroad page or create a free account. An adviser will review your background, goals and budget and suggest suitable programmes and next steps.
What documents will I usually need?
Typically a valid passport, academic certificates and transcripts, a CV, a statement of purpose, reference letters and, where required, an English language test result. Requirements vary by institution and country.
Can you help with scholarships?
We can share information about scholarships and funding that may be available for your programme. Scholarships are awarded by institutions or funders, and we cannot guarantee them.
For jobseekers
How do I apply for a job?
Create a free candidate account, complete your profile, upload your CV and apply directly from any vacancy page. You can track the status of each application in your portal.
What are the processing stages?
Applications usually move through: Submitted, Under review, Shortlisted, Interview stage, Offer received and Documentation in progress. If an employer does not progress your application, it will show as Not successful. You receive an email each time the status changes.
How do I know a vacancy is real?
We only advertise vacancies that have been appropriately checked with the employer. If you see a job using our name elsewhere, confirm it with us directly before sharing documents or paying anything.
Documents and privacy
Is it safe to upload my documents?
Yes. Documents uploaded through the website are stored in a private area that cannot be accessed by the public. Only you and authorised staff can open them. Read our Privacy Policy for full details.
Do you keep original documents or passports?
No. We do not keep candidates’ passports or original documents. We may ask to see originals to verify copies.
Can I delete my data?
You can remove documents from your portal at any time and can ask us to delete your account and personal data, subject to any legal record-keeping obligations.
Fees and limitations
Do you charge fees?
Creating an account, browsing vacancies and applying for jobs on this website is free. Where a consultancy service, such as detailed study abroad application support, carries a fee, we explain the amount and what it covers in writing before any payment. We never charge for a guaranteed job, admission or visa.
Are fees refundable?
Please see our Refund Policy. Third-party costs such as application fees, test fees, visa fees and travel costs are set by others and are generally not refundable by us.
What are the limits of your services?
We do not issue visas, work permits or admissions, and we do not provide legal immigration advice. For complex immigration questions, we recommend speaking to a qualified immigration adviser or the relevant embassy.
